Collaborating to Advance Diabetes Research in Australia
Established in 2024, the Australian Diabetes Clinical Trials Network (ADCTN) is Australia’s national body for facilitating and promoting high-quality diabetes clinical trials.
A collaborative initiative between ACADI and Diabetes Australia, the ADCTN mission is to increase the number and quality of diabetes clinical trials conducted in Australia, ultimately improving outcomes for people living with diabetes.

To support this, the network gives research teams the opportunity to have their diabetes clinical trial protocol reviewed, via two tailored pathways:
- Expert Review & Feedback
Protocols can be refined before ethics or funding submissions. - Formal Endorsement
Research teams can present their protocol to the ADCTN Executive Committee and, if approved, receive a Letter of Endorsement.
This free review service provides structured feedback from leading diabetes researchers, clinicians and individuals with lived experience, helping research teams develop high-quality, patient-centred clinical trials.
Ready to Submit a Protocol?
The ADCTN actively accepts clinical trial protocol submissions for review, offering research teams the opportunity to access expert review and potential endorsement for investigator-initiated diabetes clinical trials.

The Australian Diabetes Clinical Trials Network is a proud member of ACTA.
