A strong governance framework underpins the role of ACADI as a nationally convening Centre, supporting collaboration, accountability and impact across Australia’s diabetes ecosystem.
ACADI’s three-tiered core governance structure brings together strategic oversight, operational leadership and expert advice from within, and beyond, the diabetes sector to ensure work across the Centre is coordinated, transparent and grounded in both evidence and lived experience.
Through this approach, researchers, clinicians, community members, industry partners and policy‑relevant expertise are connected to guide research, translation and implementation in ways that are patient‑centred and nationally relevant.
Governance is focused on enabling informed, inclusive decision‑making. Clear oversight supports responsible stewardship of funding and partnerships, while diverse perspectives help ensure initiatives deliver meaningful outcomes for people living with diabetes across Australia.
