Expert and LivedExperience Perspectives

The ACADI Advisory Groups provide structured expert and lived-experience guidance across key areas of work. Four distinct groups bring together Community, Indigenous, International and Independent Scientific and Commercialisation perspectives, ensuring a breadth of insight across the Centre’s activities.

Research teams within the ACADI network are encouraged to access these Advisory Groups, present their work and receive feedback from specialist experts and individuals with lived experience to refine their projects. This approach provides researchers with independent input to strengthen quality, relevance and impact across the research and translation lifecycle.

A fifth group – the Training Program Advisory – provides guidance on training program initiatives and outreach activities, ensuring they reflect and support the next generation of diabetes researchers and the broader diabetes workforce.
